WHAT ABOUT ME !!!

Thanks to Aunt Chelsea I FINALLY get a voice in what goes on around here! Hi, it’s me Scarlett. Enough of what Austin has to say, it is MY turn now! I am now 3 months old and getting bigger (14 pds, 24 inches) and smarter. Pretty soon I will be able to do everything my brother can and probably better. He just doesn’t know it yet. I can roll to my side and I love to sit up and look around. I can push up really high when I am laying on my belly. I like watching my brother play, especially when he hurts himself. I like to giggle a lot too, my brother is pretty funny! Except for the fact that he calls me Scar T. I am kid of ill right now because I have a tooth coming through. Mommy had a really bad day with me at Olan Mills, but we were able to retake the pictures and I smiled real pretty for them! My teeth were just hurting really bad at the time. Daddy says I am very temperamental. I googled it and it says: Liable to unreasonable changes of mood. Come on daddy! I am not THAT bad, just a girl! Daddy finally finished the playset, I can’t wait until I am big enough to play on it, though I do enjoy my swing. The 4th of July is a pretty neat holiday! We had some friends and neighbors come over to eat and then we went to Wal-Mart to watch the fireworks. They sure were pretty! Then we got to play with some at the house too, it was a lot of fun! My daily activities including play on my playgym, sitting in my Bumbo, sitting in my Exersaucer and of course the normal eat, poop and sleep routine with brother harassing my all day long! He can be such a pest, but just you wait……his day will come!

Baby Scarlett at two month old!

This month Scarlett and I got to do something really cool! Grandma GiGi and Mommy took me and Scarlett to the Lazy 5 Ranch and we got to go on a wagon ride and see and feed some really cool animals! I jumped off the wagon a few times and GiGi had to get me back on. I only wanted to be closer to the animals. What’s the big deal? Needless to say Scarlett has had a very busy time since she was born! I fell face down in the mud before we went out to eat with Jose, so I got to take a shower for the first time with Daddy. It was so much fun! I also had graduation/promotion night at school. I stayed in place for the most part this time. We showed how we have learned our colors, well sort of anyways. My end of year school party was lots of fun. Mommy came and we had pizza, snacks and got to play in my pool! It was a lot of fun. Scarlett was there, but she slept in her car seat the whole time. Scarlett is getting big! She now weighs 11 pounds, 15 ounces and is 23 ½ inches long! Grandma GiGi came for Mommy’s birthday and I got to help her put icing on the cake she made. It was so much fun! I ask for cake all the time now! Daddy took us out to eat at Mommy’s favorite Mexican restaurant. It was a lot of fun and they made Mommy wear a silly hat and sing to her. We had a lot of fun!

My baby sister's first month!

The big day finally arrived! Mommy and Daddy left Saturday night to go to the hospital because Mommy was having contractions (whatever those are). My little sister was born on April 11, 2010 at 5:27 a.m. She weighed 8 pounds and 5 ounces and was 19 ½ inches long! Her name is Scarlett May Howard, but for now I can her Scar. Grandma GiGi came to stay with me while Mommy and Daddy were at the hospital with baby Scarlett. However, we did get to go see them each day! It has been quite and adjustment for me. It is hard to go from being the center of attention to having a little sister who gets a lot of attention from Mommy and Daddy. This was a busy month! Scarlett got to come to the parent appreciation breakfast at my school. People from church brought us dinners and came to see the baby. What is the big deal about seeing the baby anyways? Our pastor Carol came to visit too and she brought me some gifts! Woohoo! One day Jennifer, mommy’s friend from church, came and got me one day and I got to spend all day playing with Jack and Jake! Grandma and Grandpa Jackson came in for a quick weekend visit to see Scarlett and spend some time with me. We had a great time! Mommy and Daddy even got to go out for their anniversary (whatever that is). We also go to go eat much on the lake and get some frozen custards (which sound yucky, but are quite yummy). Then Grandma and Grandpa Howard came to visit for a week. Daddy and grandpa went fishing everyday! Then before we knew it, it was Mother’s Day, which is a day to celebrate mommies! Grandma GiGi came and we went out to eat dinner at Outback. It was lots of fun! At Scarlett's one month appointment she weighed 10 pounds 8 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches!
